Quote of the Week.

I decided to start doing a quote of the week. I love quotes and have so many saved from over the years so I wanted to share them with all of you. Hope you enjoy :)

I believe that everything happens for a reason.
People change so that you learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Awkward Family Photos.

So I randomly came across this website the other day called awkwardfamilyphotos.com  and was instantly obsessed. I was laughing for hours looking at all these pictures! I highly recommend it. Such a great pick me up for a dreary day. Here's a few that I thought were funny...

Great bedtime story.

Couldn't decide if the one in the red shorts is a girl or a boy...or both.

10 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me.

1. I absolutely hate board games. Card games are okay, but board games I cannot stand.
2. I want to go skydiving one day. It's on my bucket list.
3. I cringe whenever someone touches me. I'm extremely ticklish and absolutely can't stand massages.
4. I've always wanted twins. Adopted.
5. I wish I could go back to high school and take as many college credit classes as possible.
6. I'm not afraid one bit of spiders, mice, heights, snakes etc. All the usual things people are afraid of don't bother me at all.
7. I really hate taking medicine. I only take it if I absolutely have to.
8. I'm not good with pain. Usually I pass out cold when I have to deal with it.
9. I've never had a ham and cheese hot pocket in my whole entire life.
10. I've saved almost every single card or note that anyone has ever given to me.

Gotta Love Those Awkward Moments When...

  • You can see that you're walking towards someone and if you don't move to one side you're going to run into them. So you decide to go the opposite way that you think the other person will go. But almost always you go the same way that the other person is going and you both end up dancing with one another trying to get around the other person.
  • You and someone you don't know are the only ones in the elevator. Even if there are more than two people in the elevator somehow it almost always ends up still being awkward. And the jazzy elevator music doesn't really help either.
  • You talk about something that you got invited to and it turns out that someone else didn't get invited. Oops.
  • You see someone walking towards you in the distance that you know. You can't really yell across the room to say hi to them and it's kind of creepy to just smile the whole time until they get close enough for a conversation. So instead you pull out your phone and look at your empty inbox till they get to you.
  • You say hi to someone in a big crowd of people but they don't see you so pretend to say hi to someone that's not even there.
  • You and your friends are talking about someone and so everyone turns to stare at that person all at the same time and everyone makes eye contact with the person you're talking about. That's not obvious you're talking about them one bit.
  • You're all alone and you trip and fall. I've done this many times. Usually I just get up and keep walking like nothing happened even though everyone saw me fall.

Volunteer Bound?

After Spring and Summer semester of school I'll have my associates. Finally.
So I thought it would be a good time to check another item off my bucket list....
Working in an orphanage and teaching in a foreign country.
I have honestly never ever wanted to do something so bad in my whole entire life.
Now I just gotta decide which country I want to volunteer in....
Brazil, Peru, Guatemala, or Costa Rica. So many choices!
I also have to decide how long I want to be there. Three months sounds good to me.
All I know is that I'm going through the program Cross Cultural Solutions and that it's going to be very expensive. Oh and whether or not I go or not all depends on a volunteer scholarship that I'm applying for January 1st. Cross your fingers for me that I get it!
If it's meant to be then everything will all fall into place and work out, because
everything happens for a reason.

One Way Ticket to Neverland Please.

Aren't dreams the weirdest things ever?

Saturday night I had a dream that my friends and I were all walking back to our cars in a parking garage. I went to my car alone and everyone else went back to the Escalade. Then everyone in the Escalade decided to go to Vegas, but didn't invite me and left me behind in the parking garage all alone.
The next night I had another dream that my friends and I were all back in high school. We were at our lockers and talked about going to the mall. The next part of my dream all of my friends were shopping with each other at the mall, but again, I wasn't invited. Depressing right?

I think that these dreams mean one of two things:
1. I'm a loner and don't get invited to things my friends do.
Or 2. My friends are all in big places in life and I feel...stuck.

So, I'm leaning more towards number 2.
Most of my friends are either married, in a serious relationship, know what they want to do with their life, back from missions, have a child etc. And I feel like I'm just... blah. I've been stuck in the same place for three years. Going to school, working and undecided about my major. Basically all my friends are growing up and moving on in life, I'm doing pitch nothing and I'm getting anxiety over it.
I don't wanna be left behind....all alone....doing the same thing.
I hate growing up.
Peter Pan knew what he was doing when he ran away to Neverland. Smart kid.

Splitsville and Wedding Bells.

These two dream boats recently split from their women last week. What a shame :) This means I can date them both now! Just got to figure out a way to meet them. Then they have to move to Utah. Wait, no I would be willing to move out of state for them cause I hate loathe the snow/winter.
Oh yeah and then there's one little detail... I have to get them converted to the church. No biggie right?
I think it's all really reasonable and doable.
Anyone have Zac Efron and Ryan Reynolds digits?

It's been awhile Crocodile.

It's been forever since I last blogged! I'm all done with finals as of last Tuesday. Which means I officially have a life now... well sorta. I still have to work and get up at the butt crack of dawn everyday. Which means I go to bed at nine every night. Yes, yes I know I have the bedtime of a six year old. But being done with school means I have more time for things like this.....

Ugly Christmas sweater party! Promise I was obsessed with this night. It was such a good idea and so much fun! Ugly sweaters, great food, fun games, great people. What more could you possibly ask for?

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things...

My family. They mean the world to me. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Green arrows at stop lights. These things make so giddy for some reason.

Three day weekends. No school or work for three days? Yes please.

The rain. The smell. Standing in it. Love everything about it.

Missionaries. I'm pretty sure a letter from a missionary can make anyone's day.

Avocado Egg Rolls at California Pizza Kitchen. Haven't tried them? You're missin out big time.

New Music. Love it when new music comes out. It puts me in such a good mood. Thank goodness for a replay button.

Chick Flicks. Something about the cheesy romance and how the guy always ends up with the girl that started out as just a friend gets me every time.

Babies. Yes, this probably sounds a little creepy. But you wouldn't understand this feeling unless you have worked with them for 4 years like I have. Or are a mom.

The temple. Isn't it amazing that no matter what kind of day you've been having you can step into the temple and feel immediately at peace.

Reminiscing with friends. Absolutely love love doing this. I've had so many good times with my friends and I love when we look back.
