Up House and Some Blog Changes.

Take a look at this....

Yes, that is the exact house from the movie Up, but in Herriman.
Complete with balloons.
And an old man and chubby boy scout sitting in front yard on a bench.
It even has the same painting above the mantle just like in the movie.
Isn't it amazing?
I want to move in.
I think Jax missed the wear stripes memo :)

On another note...
Notice anything different about my blog?
I changed it. A lot of it.
Title, background, font...pretty much everything.
Old title-gone. I decided I didn't like it and it was too cheesy. (I've noticed lately that I'm a really cheesy person. Oh dear) And it was far too long.
New title- more me. Simple, short, sweet and to the point.
Inspiration: My keychain my mom bought me.

Hope you like the changes :)

Quote of the Week.

You only live your life once, but if you live it right, once is enough.

A Little Pick-me-up.

Did anyone else absolutely dread going back to work after the three day weekend?
I know I sure did.
Only three more days till the weekend.
Here's a little pick-me-up for your Tuesday!
Enjoy :)
I stole this from a friend on Facebook.
I couldn't resist.
It was too funny not to share again.

It's always awkward when....
Your friend's arm makes it look like you're naked.

"Teacher! I love you thhhhiiiiissss MUCH! Mostly to infinity though. Infinity and beyond!"

"Teach me how to juggie, t-teach me how to juggie. Teach me how to juggie, t-teach me how to juggie."
(She meant Dougie)

Quote of the Week.

There are things that we don't want to happen, but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn and people we can't live without but have to let go.

The Pit and the Peak of a Monday.

{the pit} About a month ago my laptop decided to give up on me.
Appparently my hard-drive fried.
They tried recovering all my stuff on it, but it's no bueno.
Papers from school that I spent endless hours on. Gone.
Music that I've collected over the years. Gone.
Pictures full of memories. Gone.
My document full of my all time favorite quotes. Gone.
This is the pits.

{the peak} One. Harry Potter came out last Friday.
Oh. My. Heck.
It was fanfreakintastic.
I want to see it again and again and again.
Not really.
Maybe just once more.
Two. I got a 70% on my math test folks.
Some of you may be thinking, so what? That's horrible.
But this is a miracle for me.
And also, only three more weeks of summer school!

Family Time...For Reals.

Sunday was fantastic.
My mom's side all got together for some cake and ice cream for the June and July birthdays.
You know how you have a goal and after a long time you finally reach it and it feels amazing?
This is kinda how I felt on Sunday.
After years of contention between my mom's side of the family things finally felt normal.
Things finally feel okay.
It wasn't awkward.
No one fought.
No one had hard feelings toward another person.
It was just simply perfect.
And I loved it.
It feels good to feel like a family again.

Uncles and cousins showing some love
by tickling and tackling my brother.

Gopher.

My window well is apparently the place to live.
I have a HUGE spider named Aragog that I see climbing around every once and awhile.
Freaks me out.
There's a million potato bugs.
Once a mouse.
Beetles.
Crickets that sing me to sleep at night.
And now a gopher....

He kept me up all night long.
Tapping on the window with his sick nasty teeth and trying to climb up the screen.
I wanted to kill the thing.
But then I saw how hungry it looked and how it kept trying to get out and I felt bad.
So I decided to get some gloves, catch it and then set it free.
But then it hurried and ran into it's hole it dug.
And then I reached in after it and it's hole caved in on top of him.
I think I accidentally killed it.
My bad.

Currently...

{watching} Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
{listening} to Stereo Hears by Gym Class Heroes feat. Adam Levine
{hating} math. what else is new? Summer semester is going to be the death of me.
{excited} for Christmas time. Random? Yes, but my mom was burning a candle today that reminded me of Christmas... and now I'm excited for it. Plus I might have stumbled upon a Christmas song the other day and listened to all of it.
{loving} the summer rainstorms we've been having
{thankful} for my dad's side of the fam
{blessed} to have a dad that takes such good care of me.
{feeling} lazy and tired. That's what Saturday's are for right?
{wanting} more balance in my life
{learning} to not sweat the small stuff

Are you tired of hearing about my kids at work yet?
I sure hope not.
Cause I think they're pretty funny and cute.

I turned around the other day to find two of my kids doing this....

Ritz crackers as nipples and eyes.
The Ritz crackers on the eyes was fine...
But the Ritz crackers on the nips was iffy.
I'm techincally not supposed to laugh at that kinda stuff.
It was a tad bit inappropriate for day care, but yet so so funny.

Snowman sandwhich anyone?
This was another situation where I wasn't supposed to laugh... But of course did.
I'm such a good teacher.
Check out that creativeness though!

The Hernandez Fam.

This was by far my favorite part of the trip.
Spending time with my dad's side of the fam.
They are so different from what I'm used to with my mom's side.
They're loud, catholic, drinkers, smart-a's as my Uncle Daniel puts it, stubborn and incredibly friendly.
And I love it.

I love this little 79 year old man oh so much.
I don't get to see him much so I love any moment I get to spend with him.
Because someday soon I won't get to spend time with him at all.
He has this incredibly thick accent that's hard to understand.
But I think that's my favorite part of him, his Hispanic authenticity.
My favorite part was when my Aunt Leti gave him a shot of patron and he drank every single drop of it.
What a champ.

Quote of the Week.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.
{Winston Churchill}

San Fran.

Bucketlist: Ride a cable car in San Fransisco... Check!
Again, the people watching here was fantastic.
I found where all the Asians are... In San Francisco.
Kidding. That was harsh.
But really though, I've never seen so many Asians in my life.
My favorite quote of the day came from a conversation I was eavesdropping on.... McDonald's has salads. You can't go to McDonalds though and have a salad. That's like going to a hooker and asking for a hug.
Amen to that.
We hit up Ghiradelli Square and got an ice cream sunday with a chocolate chip cookie at the bottom.
It was divine.

Venice Beach.

You know it's bad when you walk into a place and instantly think I'm either gonna get raped, my purse is gonna get stolen or I'm gonna walk away with herpes.
This is Venice Beach in a nutshell.
Plus marijuana, drunk people, and no hygiene.
The people watching was super fantastic though.
I was having a blast.
Also I watched a man punch another man's lights out cause he was hitting his dog.
Not gonna lie I peed a little when I watched that whole thing go down.
Here's a few pictures... I didn't get a lot cause I was afraid to take pictures period cause if I breathed or looked at someone wrong I would get beat up for sure.
