To my Uncle Mike who served and still serves in the Iraq War, thank you.
I can't imagine how hard it is to leave your wife and two little kids. To miss out on important milestones in their lives.
I can't imagine how hard it was to hear the news that your brother got hit by a bomb and is now left with no legs and in a wheelchair.
I can't imagine how hard it must be to talk to a fellow soldier and not know if you'll see them tomorrow.
But because of your sacrifices I can continue to live free.
I can wake up each morning a little less worried that a terrorist attack isn't going to happen.
And so can the rest of America.
